What we build: software for defence, emergency response, and the operations centres that coordinate them, with AI and automation layers on top.
Summerfield Technologies opened in Ontario, Canada, in 2026. It was started by one person, after a career in web development and sales. The plan was never to build a big company. The plan was to build software carefully, for the kind of situation where careless software gets expensive.
What we build is software for people who have to know what is happening across a real place, right now, and decide quickly. Defence. Emergency response. The operations centres that coordinate both, meaning the room a live incident actually gets run from. Two layers sit on top of that: an AI layer that reads what is coming in and says what it means in plain language, and automation that keeps watching when there is nobody left to watch.
None of that is finished, and there is no reason to pretend otherwise. It is being built. These pages will say plainly what is built and what is not, on the day it is true, which is the only version of that promise worth making.
What is finished is WIPS, a free task companion made for how ADHD brains actually work. It is not what the company is about, and it was never meant to be. It was the proving ground: one app carried from nothing to a finished product on the Microsoft Store, to find out whether our AI engineering team could actually do that. It could. It is free, it runs in your browser, it works with no internet connection, and it never asks who you are. How it got made is on the portfolio page.

Written down first
Nothing gets built here until there is a plan on one page: what it does, what it will not do, and how anyone will know whether it worked.
Allowed to say no
More than 1,200 automatic tests, three specific checks, and a person reading the result at the end. That last step has stopped a build going out before, which is the only thing that makes it a check.
Nothing watching you
This site has no analytics, no cookies, no trackers, and not one line of JavaScript. When you email us, it's a plain mailto link. That's the whole funnel.
Who's behind it
One person and a drawing board.
The founder spent a career in web development and sales before opening Summerfield, and prefers to let the work do the introductions: no bio, no headshot, just the tools.
The short version: someone who would rather ship one thing that holds up than five that nearly do. Something you can check, not something you have to take on faith.
